label candle bars with a set of tokens

Hi folks,

I am planning to do an indicator, which is to label each candle stick with a set of tokens. But I don't know how. The details are roughly the following:
1) use some existing indicator or combination of indicators to segment all candle stick into 2 categories. {Green, Red} to denote if it is up bar or down bar.
2) use high/low of clusters obtained in 1) to determine if a bar is Up Oscillation, Down Oscillation, or a simple Retracement {UO, DO, RETRACE};
3) Label if it breaks previous high/low, {break, no break}
etc.

The labels obtained from 1) 2) 3) shall be accessed from outside as different properties of the same indicator.

Any existing example already done this? Please share.

I am unaware of any indicator that would meet your needs.

If you would like something created for you, we can provide a link to 3rd party programmers in the Ninjatrader ecosystem.

I am unsure what you mean by tokens but if you want to draw Text (letters or symbols) you could use the Draw.Text() method. Otherwise, you could use various draw markers in the draw methods.

To make your results available outside of the indicator, I recommend you create a plot and assign the plot a value based on your 1-3. The plot can be set to "Transparent" so it does not affect the display but can be read by a strategy or market analyzer.
