    Hide Indicator in right margin

    Hello,

I was wondering how do you hide an indicator within the right margin. My indicator shows within the margin even though the candles are hidden but i see that the native ema indicator is hidden in the margin. I've attached a screen shot as well. thanks for any help!

    Hello byebyemoney,

It looks like the indicator you are using has either used custom rendering or uses drawing objects with negative bars ago to give an estimated future position.

Are you seeing that when you scroll the chart that the drawings follow the bars or do they stay in place?

This is likely going to be a case where the developer of that script needs to become involved to change how it renders.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

NinjaTrader_Jesse thank you for the response. yes it is a customer indicator. there is some future rendering using negative bars ago. the drawings follow the bars if the chart is scrolled. How does the rendering need to be changed?

        Hello byebyemoney,

Thank you for the additional details.

If it has logic for future drawing using negative bars ago that part would need removed for it to stop drawing in that area of the chart.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

NinjaTrader_Jesse thank you for the update. i removed all renders with negative bars ago yet the indicator still shows in the right margin. the numbers in the picture inside the margin are rendered with non-negative numbers. is there something else that might cause this to render inside the margins?

            Hello byebyemoney,

Are you referring to the price marker at the very right beyond the chart? Or the 1,2,3 numbers inside the chart?

I look forward to being of further assistance.

Hello NinjaTrader_Jesse thank you for the reply. I'm referring to the 1,2,3 numbers floating around on the chart inside the right margin

                Hello byebyemoney,

                Thanks for confirming.

If the numbers are still appearing you can first try removing and re appling the idnciator just to double check if an old instance was used. If its still appearing then there would still be something in the script controlling that.

If the script uses OnRender it could be in that area of the script. It would otherwise be drawing objects which make the text like that so you would need to review any drawing being done in the script to make sure you changed all locations.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

Hello NinjaTrader_Jesse could the issue be using the draw.text function instead of plots? seems like the draw.text function uses bars ago so the text will show even in the margin. could be a defect i guess depending on how ninjatrader wants to implement this method.

                    Hello byebyemoney,

I tried this on my end with added right margin in the chart and see the same happening. After further research it looks like this is currently expected and there is an active feature request for this to be changed. I will add your vote to the request, you can track that feature using the following ID and the help guides change log. SFT-685
