chart 5 minutes calculated on 1

Hello,

I think i saw something in the tutorial, that it is possible to display a 30 days 5 minute chart but make the calculation of my indicator on 1 minute?

Did i dream that?

I dont get it if i ask to apply the VWMA 14 it wont show up on the secondary series.

What i want is to look at a 30 days 5 minute chart and apply 1 minute VWMA for example in the same chart serie.

If i calculate an indicator for a 1 minute, i only can see 6 days on the chart. I want to be able to set my indicator to 1 minute and be able to look all the visible bars of the 30 days on the chart

Hello frankduc,

You can add an additional data series and have an indicator calculated from that data series. Those indicator values can be assigned to the hosting indicator's plot to display it as is done in the example. (The value to display is calculated in the BarsInProgress of the added data series, and the value to display is then assigned to a plot in BarsInProgress == 0.) This is going to effectively show a snapshot of where the smaller time frame indicator would be when the primary bar closes.

This would be how you can have an indicator calculated with a smaller time frame and displayed on a longer time frame. You can't see each individual value for the 1 minute indicator, but you can have the plot display the last value seen from the smaller time frame indicator at the time the primary bar closes.
