    play sound on Calculate.OnEachTick

    Hello everyone, I use an indicator that works on every tick (Calculate = Calculate.OnEachTick), the task was to add a sound alert (PlaySound(NinjaTrader.Core.Globals.InstallDir + @"\sounds\Alert4.wav")), the problem is that when the condition is true, the loop starts and the sound is played until the current bar closes.

    The task is to make sound playback after the current bar is closed

    how can it be easier to implement?

    Hello memonolog,

    Thanks for your post.

    If you want to play the sound just once per bar the first time the condition becomes true, you can use an int variable. In this example, I am using a previously created int type variable called savedBar.

    if (your conditions to playsound && CurrentBar != savedBar) // if current bar is NOT equal to the savedBar
    {
    PlaySound(...);
    savedBar = CurrentBar; // save the current bar here to make them equal
    }
