Display Indicator as Candles

Hello,

I have created my own custom delta indicator and would like to be able to display it as candles. Would you have any examples of how to calculate the high and low and how to draw the candles, similar to what the built in OF+ Delta indicator style. I am aware it would be with OnRender but am reasonably new to programming ninja so an example would be a great help to learn from.

Thank you for your reply. The spread candlesticks example looks like i may be able to adapt that for the candle drawing process. Thanks for that. My only issue is getting the values for the bar hi and low. I thought about mathMax and min but these require 2 inputs to compare whereas i need to calculate the high and low of a single individual bar which is likely to be on a minute or second timeframe. The data will be coming from my custom indicator so does not have an intrinsic high and low of bar like a symbol has, afaik. At the moment it is just displaying as histogram style bars with basically just a close value but i would like to display as OHLC candles.

It depends on what high and low you want.

You can call the CurrentDayOHL() indicator if you want the daily high and low.

If you want the high and low of the bar use High[0] and Low[0].

It is the high and low of a Delta Bar calculation i have made, so the OHLC of Delta (Bid Volume - Ask Volume) for the time period used, so when the delta bar opens for, say a 1 minute bar, that is the opening value, the high is the maximum delta value occurring during that bar, the low is the minimum delta value occurring during this one bar and the close is the last value of the 1 min delta bar. It is not related to price therefore a price bar OHLC of any time period is of no use.

If these are two variables holding values use Math.MAX() to see which value is larger and Math.Min() to see which value is lower.

If this is a series, use MAX() to see the highest value in a range of bars, or MIN() to see the lowest value in a range of bars.
