Labelled lines

Hello, i wanted to check if the labelled lines drawing tool request is still on the feature list or has been released.

I want to check as I note on the 8.0.23.1 update I have labelled lines options in the drawing tool list. I see I have this in the Drawing Tools so may have imported
the script previously and forgotten about it?

Perhaps this is the free one developed by someone in ninja placed in the ecosystem

In any event can you confirm if this is in the official release or is still pending. Is it far off from inclusion in future release?

Our feature request ticket ID for integrating within the platform as a system Drawing Tool is SFT-253 and I have added your vote. I can't be sure that my work would be integrated or left aside for another implementation that may be better. We also cannot offer an ETA on when features will be added to the platform.

Thanks Jim, seems to work fine. Thanks for confirming it is the ecosystem one. It would be great to have it integrated into the Ninja Drawing tools as standard

Another related question. Is there still no way when rolling over a contract to have the drawing objects preserved ie any lines etc on the prior contract?

Hello soulfx,

As of now they were being set to Invisible. The drawing objects can be made visible again by opening the DrawObjects menu. This was a side effect of another issue, which will be addressed in R23.2. The ticket ID for that change is NTEIGHT-14729. The number for this ticket ID can be referenced in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.

R23.2 will have drawing objects persist and stay visible after rolling over. It will be released soon, but I cannot offer an exact ETA.

So you are saying there is another patch on the way for r23? soon could be week(s)? Have valid reasons for asking. Why are these rushed out only to be patched over and over?

Yes, a Release 23.2 patch is on the way. Soon could be next week or some point later down the line. We cannot give an ETA on releases.

If there are critical issues that are spotted in a release we will try to push out a new release with those fixes so users do not have to wait on a larger release, I.E. a Release 24 that would be further down the line. There were some Playback issues that needed to be addressed in Release 23.2 among other changes that will be noted in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide when that Release comes out.
