"Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when trying to set right scal

Hi when I tried to set right scale value, I got "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error at run time, but compiling could pass. Could you advise what I did wrong?

Simplified program is:

protected override void OnBarUpdate()
{
(some other logic)
ChartPanel.Scales[0].Properties.FixedScaleMax=10000;
}

Thank you for your post.

You would need to use ChartScale.Properties.FixedScaleMax within OnRenderUpdate() to set FixedScaleMax for your indicator. The ChartScale class includes a range of properties related to the Y-Axis values of the ChartPanel on which the calling script resides.

The documented code to set FixedScaleMax would be as follows.

protected override void OnRender(ChartControl chartControl, ChartScale chartScale)
{
    if (chartScale.Properties.YAxisScalingType == YAxisScalingType.Linear)
    {
        chartScale.Properties.FixedScaleMax = 10000;
    }
}
