PriceStatus question

Hello, I have a question on PriceStatus - https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ricestatus.htm

If the PriceStatus is not connected, and assuming the account connection Status is connected, does this mean there is no level I and/or level II data feed? If so, can you still successfully submit an order? I'm executing orders from an indicator and currently am only checking the account Status and not the account PriceStatus. So I'm wondering if I should include a check for PriceStatus as well before submitting an order.

Hello martyn73,

Yes, the PriceStatus would refer to the level 1 and level 2 data.

Assuming that the myAccount.Connection.Status is still connected, you may be able to submit an order.

However, if the price status is connection lost, its very likely the entire connection is lost.

If the indicator is running from data driven events like OnBarUpdate, OnMarketUpdate(), etc, then there won't be any data to drive the actions.
