Plot time range/volume candles

Dear support,

I'm starting to study the ninjatrader indicators and I have a question that I hope you could solve. I would like to know how long it takes for a range or volume candle to develop. I don't know if there is an indicator already developed for this or if you could help me with this simple code. just plot into bars, for example.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

In NinjaTrader, bars are time-stamped at the end of the bar. You can subtract the end time of one bar from the next to determine the time of the bar.

There does already exist an indicator that provides bar times in histogram form.

This indicator is publicly available on our NinjaTrader Ecosystem website:

Here is a basic guideline of how to Import NinjaScripts.

To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools>Import>Ninjascript add-on..
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

• Right click your chart > indicators > Select the Indicator from the list on the left > New > OK
