    Calculations of 'imported' indicators using OnBarClose vs OnPriceChange

    Hi,
    In OnStateChange when State is State.DataLoaded, I am calculating the following:

    range = Range(Close);

    I am using range in a function to create a stop indicator using Close[0]. The problem is that when I manually update the chart, the stop line I have calculated changes significantly.
    Now I understand that range array will be calculated using historical data using the closing prices of the bar.
    However how this work if I am using OnPriceChange? Will the current value range[0] be calculated as each each price changes?

    Thank-you for any help.
    Regards,
    iq

    Hello iq200,

    If you use OnPriceChange the OnBarUpdate calls in realtime would be for each price update where there is a change. https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...tsub=calculate

    The Range is simply doing the following calculation, which would be for each price change:
    Value[0] = High[0] - Low[0];

    I look forward to being of further assistance.
