    Streamwriter: avoid duplicative entries

    Hello,

I'm trying to get my chart data downloaded into a csv via Streamwriter while avoiding duplication of data being written.

My idea for a solution is to read the time stamp of the last line of the csv file I am creating via Streamwriter, check the time of latest candle in my NT8 chart, and only add the data from the chart that follows what's already in the csv.

Currently, when I touch "F5" it will simply download everything in the chart and append it into my csv and there is often duplication as a result.

Would you possibly have any hints on how I can tell Streamwriter to be selective in what it adds to the csv?

Would appreciate any thoughts! Thank you!

Thank you! That is different than how I expected to fix the problem, but it seems much more elegant. Appreciate the reply!

        Hello catinabag,

You could also make a new file each time the script is run by having a unique file name.

Thanks, that's a good idea, too.

I am having fun learning c# in addition to using the software.
