ShadowTraders Indicators for NinjaTrader 8
Good day NinjaTrader support community, can anyone shed some light on the ShadowTraders Indicators for NinjaTrader 8? I am unable to locate any ShadowTraders indicators in the NinjaTrader Ecosystem.
I, as with many others was introduced to NinjaTrader via ShadowTraders. When NinjaTrader 8 was released I chose to stay with 7, thinking I would update to 8 later. Now that I have chosen to move to NinjaTrader 8, when I imported my ShadowTraders indicators into 8, the indicators from 7 appear not to be compatible with 8. Can anyone provide feedback on whether those indicators for 8 are still available, and where I might get them?
Context: Using NinjaTrader 7, configured with various ShadowTraders indicators I’ve been chasing a move in the ES market for years with moderate success. I could see the move developing, however because the data moves so quickly, I found it nearly impossible to review all the indicators, then isolate the optimal time & price to place my in.
After a couple year break, last summer I fired the software back up and decided to develop a series of algorithms to track the data from this move I’ve been chasing. After creating these algorithms, I began running historical data through them, lo and behold I found a pattern, a pattern that only automation could successfully navigate. I then began researching how best to turn these algorithms into an automated strategy and decided to stay with NinjaTrader. So, I began teaching myself C#, downloaded NinjaTrader 8, and then began the development process. It was only then that I realized my indicator conflict.
