Simple drawing

Hello,

I've never been doing drawing so far, so please help me - I believe this is very easy

So to the point:

1) i use OnMarketData with tick replay to gather bid ask data
2) When new bar is formed - I analyze previous bar and if it's a pattern bar - I add it's ID/number to the list of pattern bars

Now I need a way to draw anything over/behind that bar on chart to know which bar is a pattern.

I probably have to use OnRender ? I need to check if that rendered bar is a pattern bar and if yes - draw something to mark it.

Also, what should I draw? An arrow? A dot? Just making background behind that bar in a different color? It can be anything for me as long as it doesn't freeze NinjaTrader

Any example code would be very helpful.
