Could you please confirm that all 1-minute charts for futures would have a bar for every minute of the trading day? I am wondering if NinjaTrader charts will either (x) skip the bar entirely if there weren't any trades in that minute or (y) put in a bar for the no-trade minute but perhaps just leave the price as the last price from the prior minute?
I am wondering because I am looking at forming a line whose value will depend on whether it was the 0:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 or 4:00 minute of every five minute period. If there are any missing minutes, I am concerned that my approach will not work. My approach is to taking the remainder of the bar divided by five to determine its position (ie, bar 0 = the null position, bar 1 = the 1:00 minute, etc.).
