Thank you for the post.

You could certainly do that from NinjaScript, generally you would use some kind of price analysis or condition to determine if this bar should have an entry or not. You could also just enter on every bar if that is what you wanted to do.

NinjaScript strategies and indicators by default will work OnBarClose so you could do this with the default settings. A strategy would be easiest to submit an order from, I noticed you had this in the Indicator forum. Are you asking to submit orders from an indicator specifically? Sorry to bring up this old thread. I am looking for this, Jesse.
How to make a Strategy with Strategy Builder that enters either Long or Short when enabled, on the close of the current candle? Or even on the open of the next candle?
What are the conditions you need to enter?
For example, I am looking to enter a position on the open of the next 2 minute candle.

Use the Calculate.OnBarClose setting in the Strategy parameters in the Strategies window.

This will cause the logic to be evaluated after a bar closes and a new bar opens.

To submit the order on the first real-time bar, require that Misc > Current state Equals Misc > State > Realtime.
