Export the Custom Indicator (Please ensure all required components are included)

    Hi,

I made an indicator based on GomMPPro Levels. Now i wish to export my custom indicator as an DLL, but when i tried to do so then getting error "Assembly could not be exported. Please ensure all required components are included"

GomMP Pro is already available at destination computer, i just wish to export my indicator as a DLL.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello raxxus,

    Thanks for your post.

Is GomMPPro available in DLL or source code format on the PC which you are trying to export with?

If it is in DLL format, are you able to create an export that uses it when you add a reference to the DLL?

I look forward to your reply.

      Hi Jim,

Thanks for quick response, GOM is an paid indicator which i imported as an package.

GOM is in DLL format and exposes its calculation using public functions over which i made my indicator using NinjaScript Editor, which i wanted to export.

        Hello raaxus,

We had suggested to include a reference for this DLL when exporting your script.

Can you confirm that you have taken this step? I have provided a screenshot in my initial reply of where you can add references in an export.

        We look forward to assisting.

          Hi Jim,

          Sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes i added the reference to related GOM references, screenshot is attached herewith. Still getting same error. Even i tried to add all the available references.

One more thing i wish to know.
Is there anyway so that i can compile Indicator as an independent DLL from visual studio itself?

            Hello raaxus,

            Thanks for your question.

I would suggest checking the log tab of the Control Center for any additional hints here. Another reference for another assembly may need to be added. Since you are working with a 3rd party assembly, they may also have some insight for you on what needs to be added to export with their assembly.

If you see additional errors in the log tab of the Control Center, you can select the error and press Ctrl + C to copy it. You can then paste the errors here so we can share our insight. Please also reply to the thread if you get any more help from the vendor.

We have a Visual Studio AddOn that demonstrates how Visual Studio can be used to build NinjaScript DLL's. The same approach could be taken to build an indicator instead of an AddOn. The AddOn Framework Advanced example provides a Visual Studio project.

            I look forward to assisting.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but do you have any sample project for building and compiling an indicator or a strategy to Ninjascript assembly in Visual Studio instead of exporting as assembly from Ninjatrader?

I'm at over 24 hours trying to debug "Assembly could not be exported. Please ensure all required components are included" since no other error information is provided in logs. I have another thread dedicated to this here. I'm not trying to find any way to build ninjascript assembly in VS rather than exporting as assembly from NT

                Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not have any samples of this as it is not supported. Do not build from Visual Studio as this can cause unexpected compile errors within NinjaTrader.

If you already have an existing inquiry open, please continue to work with my colleague via the forum thread. In the future, we kindly ask that you avoid submitting multiple requests for the same item. This ensures that you get the most timely responses and prevents our support team from duplicating their efforts. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
