Grid lines adjustment

Is it possible to make an indicator that will change horizontal grid lines interval depending on current instrument? I'm talking about that setting: Chart panel - Properties - Horizontal rid lines interval value. Can I change it within an indicator? If no, I will code indicator that will plot own lines but I'm afraid it might be CPU intensive. Any suggestions?

There is a way to do so, however, there is the caveat that this can be overridden by the user in the UI. You'd want the HorizontalGridlinesInterval property of ChartScale:

protected override void OnRender(ChartControl chartControl, ChartScale chartScale)
{
if (chartScale.Properties.HorizontalGridlinesInterval == 1.5)
{
// do something
}
}
