Is it possible to install new sounds in the NT8 Sounds folder?

The topic says it all.

I'm trying to get a one pass install for an indicator package that includes custom sounds.

I know this could be done if I put the custom sounds in a folder under the users NT8 directory. Unfortunately; to the best of my knowledge, the NinjaTrader.Gui.Tools.FilePathPicker can't be set to point to the new custom sounds.

The FilePathPicker should be opening a dialog window that allows you to select any sound file anywhere on the computer.

Is this dialog window not opening?

Are you unable to open the path to the file?

But it defaults to different locations based on the filter. If I want the user to get a sound file *.wav it will open the file picker to: C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\sounds. But the NT8 export builder has no way that I know of to add files to C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\sounds.

If I remove the filer for .WAV files it opens to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\NinjaTrader 8.

Either way the user is forced to navigate to an unknown place to get the files I want them use. How do I get the file picker to default to the directory of my chosing?

Ah, I'm understanding you want to supply the default location.

Unfortunately, that's being set in the core of the application.

Looks like I'm back to separate install file for the custom sounds.

No problem. Glad there is already and enhancement request to give us more control over these default locations.
