Getting enough data...

I am working on an indicator that needs 756 bars to plot.

I've tried setting BarRequiredToPlot to this value, but cannot seem to get more than 707 bars.

Historical data is plotting on price chart going back to 9/15/2015, so I have enough data.

What am I doing wrong.

Who is your data provider and what type of bars are you requesting in the script?

Historical data provider is IQFeed.

I've found that requesting 1024 Day bars was not enough. By increasing this to a ridiculous number like 2048, I am getting the required 756 bars needed. Not sure why.

Thanks for the reply.

In your data series menu, you can set "Load data based on" to "Bars" to load a specific amount of bars onto the chart instead of a date range.

I tested the behavior on Kinetick by renaming the SMA indicator, then setting its BarsRequiredToPlot to 756. The SMA plotted exactly at the 756th bar. Ensuring you can pull this amount of data from your data provider is suggested as well.
