NT8 Indicator Name

When I copy an existing Ninja indicator like SMA & change the name, how can I change "Name" under "if (State == State.SetDefaults)" so that the indicator will compile?

Name = NinjaTrader.Custom.Resource.NinjaScriptIndicatorNa meSMA;

Is this a special feature only for indicators made by Ninja?

Thanks for the note.

That name is a resource identifier. It points to a string in the Resource.resx file under ..\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. These are used for internationalization purposes.

You can change this to something like the following:

Name = "MySMA";
