Add Data Series and match periodicity of chart

Is there any way to add a data series with the same periodicity as the one in the chart? I am using this but would like the second two parameters to be filled in based on what the current periodicity of the chart is:

AddDataSeries("XLK",BarsPeriodType.Minute,1);
