Is there a way to programmatically create a custom list for the Hot List Analyzer?

Is there a way to programmatically create a custom list for the Hot List Analyzer? I would like to dynamically feed my own symbol list to the Hot List Analyzer, in other words, I would like to create a selection of Stocks programatically and show them in the Hot List Analyzer. I would still have the lists provided by my broker, but I would like to add my own lists in there.

Currently there is no supported way to programmatically create instrument lists. We have a feature request tracking interest behind adding this functionality, and I have added a vote on your behalf. The ticket ID is SFT-2941.

Feature requests are implemented based on client feedback, feasibility, discretion from Product Management, and the ongoing tasks of the Development team. As such, we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. However, your interest is tracked and your feedback is documented. Hello! Can you please add a vote for this from me as well!

I understand some of the reasons this could cause a headache but actually even not being able to import an instrument list is a bit of a pain... Some of our indicators check social sentiment which changes daily and so manually having to type in the instruments into a daily list is a headache. This also applies to strategies such as pre-market GAPS etc... I have to take the gap list, and manually each morning add it to an instrument list before I can enable a strategy to run against those.

I realize we could add all instruments (or many) and then code around checking to see if it should be in the list, but this is not only time consuming for strategies but the amount of instruments is so many when it comes to stocks and not futures etc...
