2 Scroll Wheel Zoom mouse indicators

Over time trading on ninja I have found 2 indicators that allow you to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel on your mouse.
One is free and great, but you have to hold control for the scroll to work. This one is smooth and works best.
The other I have bought. It doesn't require you to hold control, but is a bit jumpy and not as smooth.

Is there any one out there that can create a smooth scroll wheel zoom feature without control and combine the best of both worlds?!?!?!

2. Free indicator for zoom while holding control. This one is part of a pack that is also useful to toggle on indicators and drawings and trades. It was created by someone on this forum named armybender who I have not been able to get in touch with.

Someone could take the code from the 2nd free indicator and make it scroll without control.
Why ninja doesn't have this option to scroll like normal idk! They assume there userbase would get lost in the chart if they could grab the chart and move and zoom....... Tradingview charts has the best zoom/chart movement by far it should be the standard.

We will leave this open for anyone who would like to assist you with a custom script. An alternative here would be to hire a 3rd party programmer to create what you need and if this is of interest please let us know and we can provide a link to 3rd party programmers.

Just FYI, you can use the keyboard keys of Ctrl and either the up arrow or down arrow to achieve the same zoom effect which is really just changing of the bar spacing. I realize that is not as simple as a scrolling wheel but wanted to mention it in case it was not known. The advantage here is that you don't need to add a custom indicator to each chart to use that functionality as it is built in. I will also create a feature request to cover the ability to enable/option the mouse scroll wheel as a way to change the bar spacing on the charts instead of a left/right scroll function. A feature request does not mean it will or will not be implemented but does allow us to track interest in such a feature. Once I have the feature request, i will update this thread.

How hard could it be to add this tiny feature that is already a standard that just about every web trading platform has already? Tradingview, coinbase, binance, oanda.com.... Whats with desktop trading platforms and the redundant need to make the mouse wheel do the same function as click and drag? I can't think of any desktop software where the mousewheel isn't either used to control the zoom or scrolling up and down. But using the mousewheel to scroll left and right is just STUPID

Change this and also offer RGB chart backgrounds and everyone from the sinking ship that is Tradingview I am sure will be signing up in DROVES

Tradingview claims to have almost 100 million paid users. One of your criteria should be what features your competitors have because the free market has already decided that using the mousewheel to zoom in/out is a better idea than what it is currently used for. Otherwise, those 100 million users would be using something else. Because of the lack of one simple checkbox in the settings, your software is alienating a large amount of users that like the way the mousewheel functions in a competitors product. It is the most trivial detail missing besides my next point.


A simple checkbox in the options settings to toggle one or the other. That way both camps can be satisfied instead of one or the other.

Finally, the Chart Background Color can be changed with the following steps:

Last time I checked (around 2022) you could only change the chart background to a pre selected color, and not from an RGB color palette. This is another standard feature in Tradingview. In addition to being able to set the chart background to any RGB hex color I want, we should also be able to change the UI theme for the toolbars and menus like in Meta Trader, and also get rid of that silly branding watermark inside the chart. The only time customers want to see branding logos is to make a fashion statement. But it's a bit of a egotistical move to force customers to see branding text in the main part of the UI. I haven't got to use this platform for more than 1 hour total but that's just what keeps me from exploring more.
