Possible to change instrument from custom indicator?

Hi,

How can I send a message to NT from within an indicator to change a chart instrument?

Example: Chat is set to AAPL, I want from an indicator or Market Watch column to automatically change the Chart to let say MSFT.

If I can link to a "link color" it would be even better.

Thanks for your post.

There isn't a supported way to do this, however we have a feature request tracking interest to change an instrument via NinjaScript. The ticket ID is SFT-1085. Feature request interest is aggregated before it is determined if the feature should be implemented, so we can't offer an ETA. Upon implementation, the ticket ID number can be found publicly on the Release Notes page of the help guide. I'll provide a link below.

The Rollover Indications indicator uses an approach to simulate key presses to update the instrument on a chart. Granted there will be more work to trigger this from a Market Analyzer column, but you may wish to investigate this script for an unsupported approach to achieving your goal.
