API connection to vendor licensing

Hello there i was wondering if doing vendor licensing through the ninjatrader add-on in NT8 is the only option. I mean is there a way I can connect to ninja vendor API and connect it so all the subscriptions are synced automatically instead of doing it manually every time

Thanks for your post.

I believe it is a web based API, so in theory it might be possible. That being said, the add-on is the only supported way to handle your licensing.

If you can describe what specifically you need to happen I can feature request it to be included in the add-on.

basically i am looking to streamline the licensing through my own membership interface backend, if i can somehow connect to the API outside of VendorLicense add-on then i can add and expire new licenses on the go immediately when i get new subscriptions or cancellations. I dont have to manually enter their licenses which can be a hassle, if volume grows

Thanks for clarifying. That sounds like a useful feature to me.

Along that idea is the one I submitted before NT8 was even released. It would be nice to have a stand alone licensing app so if NT isn't running and you need to add or modify a license you would be able to do it without loading up NT8 with all of its charts, etc. just to do so.

I agree that would also be useful. I was looking around for that specific request however and I cannot find it. Do you by chance have a tracking number for it?

No, it was probably in a skype or email conversation before the first beta was released. No tracking.
