    Regression for two different instruments

Is there a method in NT that can calculate slope or regression value for two instruments? For example, ES and YM or ES and NQ instead of just on the primary instrument itself. What I am trying to see here is based on regression of the two instruments, if the primary instrument is trading at price x, then it implies the price value for the secondary instrument

    Hello Boonfly8,

    Thanks for your post.

No, there is no method that would calculate slope or regression value of two instruments. I am not aware of any indicators that would provide that either.

You might take a look at the NinjaTrader platform new indicator "Correlation" and can perhaps use that as an input to slope().

From the release note: Added Correlation indicator

    Indicator

    Feature # 13755

The correlation indicator will plot the correlation of the data series to a desired instrument. Values close to 1 indicate movement in the same direction. Values close to -1 indicate movement in opposite directions. Values near 0 indicate no correlation.
