    Debugging using Visual Studio

Hi all, I've noticed that in the NinjaScript editor there is a button to open the code up in Visual Studio. I am hoping that there is a way to run the debugger in Visual Studio as well.

I know that because the code that is being modified is a DLL I will need to actually attach to a running executable process. I tried attaching to the NT8 chart window that my indicator is loaded on with no luck. Is there any way to do this?

Hi NeverDownMoney, thanks for your post.

You can set breakpoints and break upon exceptions in Visual Studio. Follow this guide to open the custom project and attach VS to the NinjaTrader.exe process:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
