Indicators plot first value after 20 bars

I notice that all indicators, including a basic one such as SMA only begin plotting after the 20th chart bar.

What is controlling this behavior and is there any way to alter this behavior?

Thanks for your post.

This is because indicators use a default BarsRequiredToPlot value of 20. New indicators can be made with this set to a lesser value to have plots appear further back. This was included as a general optimization to avoid drawing items early on when the indicator may not have calculated a valid plot value yet.

Other platforms use "preload bar" functionality.

This ensures, everything flies right from the start because all indicators are already set (as long as you have a data feed also covering this preloadbar period, which usually is not a problem). Can't understand why NT doesn't take this up. Just offer to load data for a certain number of earlier periods.
