Hello!

Lets say I have an horizontal line with valueY = $100.

How can I check if my High[0] is 10 ticks away from my valueY so I can alert the proximity?

Thanks for your post.

You would just compare the prices with logic to do this. TickSize is always a value of 1-tick for the corresponding master instrument and multiplying TickSize by a number will correspond to that amount of ticks.

if (High[0] <= valueY+10*TickSize)
{
	[COLOR="Green"]//this is looking for the  High[0] to decrease to a value that is 10 ticks more than valueY[/COLOR]
}

if (High[0] >= valueY-10*TickSize)
{
	[COLOR="green"]//this is looking for the High[0] to increase to a value that is 10 ticks less than "valueY"[/COLOR]
}
