How to set the number of days to load into the chart from an Indicator

Is it possible for an Indicator to set the number of Days To Load in the Data Series UI? I have tried this but it gives an error that DaysToLoad does not exist in the current context:

protected override void OnStateChange()
{
    if (State == State.SetDefaults)
    {
        DaysToLoad = 15;
    }
}

Thank you for the post.

At this time it is not currently possible for an indicator to control the DataSeries menu, this would be a manual action. I will put in a feature request for this item.

Is there a way to get the Number of Days so I can at least show an error message when I know it's not enough?

Hello swcooke,

You can use the following property for that purpose:

Print(ChartBars.Properties.DaysBack);

Please be aware, this property is not get only so while you can technically set this to a value and have it reflected in the UI, this does not enact changing the series how the dataseries window will. This would still not be suggested for the original purpose you asked about, that will still require a feature request.
