OnRender stop drawing when user rescaled chart

    Hello,

To begin with - sorry for my english. I may not always use the best words.

So I have a NT8 Footprint indicator. It prints bid/ask values on each price level for each bar.
The problem starts when I scale out chart so much that all bars and texts overlap.

I'd like to avoid it by detecting if user scaled out chart too much - if yes, then I won't print texts.

For that - how can I detect/calculate if chart isn't scaled out too much.
By checking brush font size (tried - didn't work) or there are some other chart properties ?

    Regards,
    Darek

    Hello,

    Thank you for the post.

Could you use the metrics of the window for this purpose? The Height and Width of the window?

    Code:
    ChartPanel.X
    ChartPanel.Y
    ChartPanel.X + ChartPanel.W
    ChartPanel.Y + ChartPanel.H
This would give you the rectangle of the chart panel if it is resized this should also change. This information could be used to calculate a ratio or do other math for the sizing of items in the panel if it were to be too narrow or too short. You can see these items used in the indicator SampleCustomRender.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
