Use existing chart indicators

Hi,

Is there anyway to use the charts existing indicators values without having to add them on startup in a new custom indicator? If not, Is there a way to get a list of the charts indicators and parameters at load time so they can be added to a new custom indicator? I saw something where you can get a list from ChartControl in OnRender, is there anyway to get the parameters and load them from that list after the indicator starts?

Hello Dan,

From my understanding, OnStateChange() is a method that is specific to NinjaScript that is called for the UI. It would not be possible to get a list of the default values without instantiating each indicator and its not possible to instantiate an indicator from a host script without calling this as a method with specific constructor overload parameters.

I will submit a feature request on your behalf for a method that returns an instance for each indicator in NinjaTrader with default values without having to create this yourself. Once I have a tracking ID for this request I will post this in this thread for future reference.

Please note it is up to the NinjaTrader Development to decide if or when any request will be implemented.
