Exporting Workspaces for protected indicators

Can I export a Workspace with my protected indicators ?

Currently I am including chart templates in the protected zip file to customers but as I have many chart templates for a single workspace it would be a lot more efficient if I could include only the entire workspace.

If so how do I include the workspace within the zip file ?

While NinjaTrader 7 is able to include templates and workspaces with the export, NinjaTrader 8 currently is only able to include templates (and other resources saved in templates).

It has been requested for NinjaTrader 8 to be able to include workspaces with exports. This is being tracked with ID# SFT-13299. As new releases of NinjaTrader 8 become available, please check the release notes for this ID to see if this request is implemented.

In the meantime is it possible for my customers to download the workspace from a link on my web site ?
Will it work that way ?

Hello blar58,

Yes, you could distribute the workspace .xml file and have users manually place this in 'Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces\' while NinjaTrader 8 is shutdown.
