    IDrawingTool

    Hi, I' have an indicator that will scan my chart looking for user drawn rectangles. I'm using IDrawingTool for "Rectangle" and have identified my anchors (Anchors.First() && Anchors.Last()). I just need to identify the rectangle's interior color and border color attributes. Is there documentation for this? Thanks

    Hello pman777,

    Thanks for the post.

    This is not really documented but can be accomplished fairly easily. This is dependent on the tool, there is not a general property for these colors. The Rectangle has specific properties that are only for Rectangle so you will need a cast.

    Code:
    DrawingTool r = Draw.Rectangle(this, "test", true, 0, Close[0], 0, Close[1], Brushes.Red, Brushes.Black, 100);

    if (r is Rectangle)
    {
          Rectangle rect = (Rectangle)r;
          Brush area = rect.AreaBrush;
          Brush outline = rect.OutlineStroke.Pen.Brush;
    }

    I look forward to being of further assistance.
