Noob Indicator

Hi. Gonna try my first at making an indicator. Ive doodled with the math in Excel and its based on two different ATR values. The calculation goes as follows:

Value = 1 / (1/ATR1 + 1/ATR2) Theres some more math following that but this is a start

Any tips on how to do this? Im a noob that only dabbled in MT4 before this. Thanks and regards /Bo

Hello danerius,

Create a new indicator.

Add a plot with AddPlot().

Add a few indicator variables to hold the instances of the ATR indicator.

Initialize these in State.DataLoaded.

Set the Value object to your calculation in OnBarUpdate by calling the indicators.

For example:
In #region Variables

private ATR atr1, atr2;

In OnStateChange():

else if (State == State.SetDefaults)
{
AddPlot(Brushes.Blue, "myPlot");
}
else if (State == State.DataLoaded)
{
atr1 = ATR();
atr2 = ATR();
}

In OnBarUpdate():

Value = 1 / (1/atr1[0] + 1/atr2[0]

);
