    Calculate = Calculate.OnPriceChange any question

    hi, i use Calculate = Calculate.OnPriceChange;

    if i want to code :

    if (High[0]>High[1]) //do something

    If I want to run it only once i give to code it in following mode ? or there is another better method

    if (isFirsBarOnSession) pass=false;

    ...
    ...

    if (High[0]>High[1])&& !pass
    {
    pass=true;
    //to do something
    }

    Hello turbofib,

    Thanks for your post.

    The bool IsFirstBarOfSession will be true until the first bar closes. With Calculate.OnPriceChange mode the bool will continue to be true on each price change of the first bar of the session. This means pass will be set false on each price change of the first bar meaning then that the check High[0] > High[1] will be performed on each price change of the first bar of the session.

    To prevent entry of the condition on the same bar, we need to add a check to see if we are checking the condition on the same bar

    In the following example, savedBar is an int variable previously declared.

    if (High[0]>High[1])&& !pass && savedBar != CurrentBar)
    {
    savedBar = CurrentBar; // save the bar number to prevent re-entry on same bar
    pass=true; // will prevent until next session
    //to do something
    }
