NT8 TickId

In a previous post you mention an undocumented field of NT8 MarketDataEventArgs called TickId (see http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=91204). This seems to be missing from my installed version (8.0.5.1 64-bit). Will you be bringing it back or could you alternatively link to an older version which has that field available? Thanks.

That was removed in Beta and we would not provide Beta versions of the software as we are in production releases.

May I inquire on what you need the TickId for in your code? There may be another solution here.

Well, what I was looking for was TickID as it exists in tick data fields from data providers such as IQFeed and I now realize that the tickid that is referred to in the post above is simply to make sure each tick has a unique identifier. If you are familiar with the TickID that I am referring to, is there any way I can access that from NinjaScript?

I have one follow-up question: IQFeed now provides microsecond timestamps on their tick data. Does NT8 support this? When enabling 'Show Data Box' on a 1 tick chart, I only see miliseconds.

I am the one that posted the thread he referred to. IQFeed has a field that specifies the TickID identifying whether each tick is a unique trade. Is this data transmitted from the CQG feed? Does Ninja disregard this data? Is there a way to enable it on both live and historical data?

Thank you for your response.

To my knowledge both IQFeed and CQG provide that information. The NinjaTrader platforms (7 & 8) do not acquire that information. There is no means to pull that information through NinjaScript.

The feature request, SFT-2740, "Access TickID from a data provider and to access it from NinjaScript" remains open and unresolved, there is no other update information available.
