Stream Data to Excel or LibreOffice

Hi,

What are my best options to stream instrument live data to Excel or LibreOffice? At this stage, a stream with instrument data (OHLC + Volume) is enough but I would also like to get open/pending positions into Excel / LibreOffice, if possible.

Thank you for your post.

You could use StreamWriter to write to an external file. We have an example at the following link: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ead.php?t=3475

However, we do not have a direct interface to an external application such as Excel.

With what tools and how are you guys reading the output in real time? I've tried to open the .txt file in LibreOffice and Excel and able to get the outputted data correctly. I however would like to have the stream in real time in Calc/Excel, so that I can do probability calculations etc.

How have you accomplished this?

Create an external data connection in Excel to the text file you output from NT.
