Feature Request
I would like to be able to target specific windows with draw objects.
For Example: if I have a 5 minute chart with a draw object, rather than in the properties setting the Attach To and selecting global I would like to be able to Cast down to a lower time frame but not to a higher timeframe. -
Doing this dynamically, say, making it auto aware
and dependent upon the bartype/interval of the chart
the object is drawn on, is (I think) not possible.
But, if you already know which charts you consider
lower vs higher time frames (because, for you, the
5-min chart is the dividing point) you can probably
do this via the chart's settings.
That is, disable drawing global objects on the
higher time frame charts.
How so?
In each higher time frame chart window
Right click inside chart > Data Series ...
In Properties section on right hand side
Scroll down to 'Visual' section
Uncheck 'Show global draw objects'
The idea is,
The drawing object, say a vertical line, is defined
in the vertical line properties as global for all charts,
but your higher time frame charts disable the drawing
of global objects.
The effect should be close to what you want.
The problem is: this approach is object agnostic, it
can't differentiate between anything, such as a vertical
line vs fib retracement vs an ellipse. -- they're all drawn
or not, no differentiation. When you disable drawing
of global objects, it's all global objects. Bummer.
Hints:
1. Save each higher timeframe chart into its own chart
template so this specific setting can be automatically
unchecked when you create a new higher timeframe chart.
2. For each lower timeframe chart, save a template for
that chart and make sure the setting is checked.

I am already using the Show Global Draw objects, what I would like to do is Cast global draw objects down in one direction so say I have 3 charts High, Mid, and Low time frame chart's What I would like to do is cast draw objects on the High time frame to the Mid and Low charts, and cast the Mid draw objects to the Low Chart. The problem with using Show Global draw Objects is that in order for the High time frame to ignore the global objects of the lower time frames, it also has to ignore global draw objects of it's self (the high time frame). So if there were a Cast Lower setting per say, the Global objects would only cast in one direction from High to Low.

Well, as you know, the software is quite primitive in
this particular regard and can't do what you're asking.
May I suggest ...
Since NinjaTrader now has a Feature Request page,
you should definitely submit your idea there.
