Question about order passages

Let's imagine a perfect world where there is no latency, no slippage...
I am on the market with a current order and a strategy that takes a trade on the OnClose after closing the current trade

Tick -1..
Tick 0: New bar detected
Tick 1: The current trade is closed
Tick 2: A new trade is opened.

Can you confirm this mode of operation?

There is not really a way to say that is what would happen because as you mentioned no latency which is not a concept. In NinjaTrader everything is event driven so the only time you would see that would be in playback or historical bars. In realtime there is always latency so you would want to wait for the trade to be closed before trying to open another trade. You need to wait because there could be rejections or time between the events the broker sends you.

Thank you for your answer that I understand and share completely but here I simply wanted to know if the logic that I described is the logic used by NT8 or if for example there is a thread that takes care of the arrival of the prices, one that manages the closings, one the openings... In fact it is simply a technical question and that is why I allowed myself to ask it here... To decide for example if it is more relevant to open a new trade then close the first one afterwards, just a question of "operating mode"

The internal logic of NinjaTrader is not exposed so I couldn't really provide those kind of details. I can say that the platform is event driven so you can get order events happening during other events like OnBarUpdate. That is why its important to wait for orders to complete before doing another action.
