Question about use API DLL [Function Connected]

Hi, I'm new to this and I want to develop something small.
My question is, if I can connect from API CLIENT to the ninjatrader on a Saturday or Sunday?
How do I do my tests if the data broker is without service on Saturdays and Sundays?


Today Saturday i test the function "int Connected(int showMessage)" but the response with -1

While your application can connect to the NinjaTrader Desktop application through the API on weekends or at any time, this wouldn't mean the connection to the brokerage or data provider will be connectable, as many brokerages and data providers shutdown servers for maintenance.

You could test using the Simulated Data Feed or Playback connections during the weekend when markets are closed.
