Point and Figure chart refresh rate

I have a general question regarding the 'update' of a point and figure chart. I've noticed that, for instance, a point and figure based on a 1000 tick underlying security will only 'refresh' maybe 3-4 times in that 1000 tick cycle. The most current (Last) price is always displayed. However, it may be well beyond the high or low of the displayed bar. I guess my real question is: when does the Bar object get updated? What is the update/refresh condition? Even on a valid reversal condition, where the current bar closes and a new bar in the opposite direction is printed, there can be a huge delay. Is this behavior documented somewhere?

Charts refresh every 250 milliseconds.

If there is lagging, this may be a performance issue impacted by the amount of running scripts on the same instrument.

Thank you Chelsea, for the update. I understand your point but during this observation, I don't have anything else running. I do believe that the chart rendering is every 250 milliseconds, as the 'Last' price is always correct. However, the Bar Object update is far behind. I think the best thing for me to do is write a simple script, with Print statements only, that demonstrates my point. I'll try to work on that this weekend (I'm out of town).
