Licensing Question for other Vendors

This is a question mainly geared towards other Vendors.
Has anyone used a Wordpress plug in or another licensing method for their NinjaTrader products to fully automate the licensing process?

Which ones have you used and/or suggest?

I've been using Ninjas Machine IDs for the last year. Although I appreciate that its free and its conveniently built into the platform itself. It does come with its own set of problems.

• Windows updates are a nightmare because it changes many users IDs. I spend most of my day manually updating licensing for users.
• Certain VPS users have frequent updates. I have some users that I've needed to update over 10 times in the last few months. This is a hassle for everyone and although customers are very understanding at first. They are rightfully frustrated around the 3rd + time it happens.
• VPS users will share the same ID. This creates scenarios where multiple users can use it for free if its not spotted. (Yes, I do the 3rd party licensing method for this but its a bunch of extra steps for the user)
• It requires someone to always be at a computer (or connected with a VPS). But this manual input makes it so that users can't get access to their purchased product immediately. Depending on Time zones. Some customer can be waiting several hours until we can get to it.

Just wanting to get an idea of what others are using out there. Been trying to research some articles but really couldn't find anything concrete.

This would have likely been a much easier solution. I ended up changing my entire website over to Wordpress and then used a Licensing Plugin. Was a lot of work to get everything figured out but got it working fully automated now.

I do have a friend who is somewhat of a newer vendor and has been looking for an easeir solution. Not sure what kind of pricing you offer on something like this but I'll let him know and see if he wants to reach out.

I'm halfway through what you've done setting up my website with Wordpress and integrating my community with it. Would you mind sharing which Licensing Plugin you are using? Did you create it yourself? Do you hire out?

I used Elite Licenser Plug in. (Not sure if I'm allowed to link here). But they had good reviews and they offer a lifetime option which I liked.

They have everything you need. Auto create license keys, manage everything through your Wordpress dashboard. My customers can also transfer their license to another computer at anytime if they like while only allowing the key to work on one computer at a time.

It does take quite a bit of work to connect it to your NT8 script. It's not easy copy + paste like Ninja offers. I ended up having to hire someone to build me a sample who also helped me build my entire website and connect everything.

Bit of work to get it all going. But well worth it to automate everything.
