Draw Ray : Argument Out Of Range Exception

Hello
I try to trace a Ray but I receive a not logic error message :

03/04/2024 00:05:00 System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: 'barsAgo' needed to be between 0 and 2020 but was 10

I used a simple example given by the ninjatrader guide :

Thank you for your post.

I suspect this is because you are trying to instantiate the Ray in State.DataLoaded. The DataLoaded state would generally only be used for one time actions that need to be accomplished when the data is sure to be loaded but before you start processing bars.

Since no bars have been processed in this state, you are getting an indexing error when trying to access 10 bars ago.

This code should go in OnBarUpdate(). Additionally, you have a check for State.Terminated in State.DataLoaded. State.Terminated would not occur during State.DataLoaded as these are two separate states.

Lastly, you should add a CurrentBar check within OnBarUpdate() to make sure you have enough bars loaded in order to start doing calculations.
