'The instrument for which you requested data is invalid: SPXL'
I keep seeing the error message when trying to backtest a strategy on SPXL. Any idea? I am using iqfeed and have not ran into any issues aside from spxl.

Hello proptradingshop,
Thank you for your post.
Are you able to confirm you are enabled for SPXL data from IQFeed?
SPXL is not one of the predefined instruments in NinjaTrader. Have you added SPXL as a custom instrument?
You may follow these steps to add a custom Instrument to NinjaTrader 8's Database:- Go to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window
- Click add at the bottom of this window to create a new instrument
- Every Instrument will need a 'Master Instrument' name, correct Instrument Type, an Exchange, and Symbol Mapping for the Data Provider you are using
If you are unsure of the Symbol Mapping for a specific instrument, you will want to reach out to that provider directly or see what symbol it uses on their website/software.

Please let me know if I can assist further.

NinjaTrader_Gaby Thank you for the support, although it was already in my instruments when searching, I did remove it and follow the above mentioned steps and the issue seems to be resolved. Thank you
