Cannot see bartype in dropdown for data series

I have installed accurate heikin ashi as a bar type and see it in ninjascript editor but do not see in dropdown when i attempt to load under data series

Which HeikenAshi did you install? NinjaTrader natively provides Heiken Ashi as a bar type already (see attached screenshot).

If you installed the Heiken Ashi 8 from the Ecosystem, please note that this is an indicator and should be added from the Indicators window.

But you dont have any assistance or explanation why it may not be showing in the dropdown? i read an old post about assign custom bar type slot issues but the post was so old i couldnt follow the provided instructions

I was able to add this to my platform and I can see it in the drop-down for the Data Series.

Are you still unable to see the option in your own platform?

Have you restarted NinjaTrader since importing the cutom bar type script?

Do you have other custom bar types imported (which might be using the same BarsPeriodType Id)?

I installed that but I don't understand how to use it. I've restarted ninjatrader, my computer, repaired, everything.

Then add the indicator to a chart.

HFTAlgoBars and Accurate HeikenAshi BarsType are using the same ID of 42069 and only one of them is going to show (likely the first one).

You will need to change the ID of one of these bar types in the code of the script. Try using 42070 as the ID for one of them.
