strategy effective time

i'd like to leave my strategies enabled and have a time condition so the strategy is "active" only at certain hours. i'd like the strategy to start at 0730 CT. and, have the strategy stop a 1 minute before market close. i'm looking at the strategy builder and i see inputs for time but not sure how to use it.

You can find details about making time conditions in the following link. Near the bottom of the page it shows how to make a window of time where the condition can be true. You need to make a start time and compare that against the current and a second condition to check the time is before the end time.

sweet. many thanks. i'm setting the strategy through time series and time value. but, what time zone is it set too? i'm in california. is it pacific time since that's where i'm at? or, is it set for central time where the mercantile exchange is? i'm doing backtests with it and it works. but, i don't know if its reading CT or PT.

The platform uses the timezone that you set in the control center tools -> options menu which will be reflected in the charts. The times you use on the strategy should reflect the times that you see in the charts.
