    Manual Script Removal

for some reason a few of my addon scripts dont get removed when I right Click > Remove.

Is it ok to delete them directly from the Documents \ NinjaTrader 8 \ bin after closing NT8?

    Hello fingers,

    Thank you for your note.

Custom NinjaScripts can be removed in one of two ways from within NinjaTrader 8:
    • Add-ons can come as packages called 'assemblies'. An assembly can be removed by going to Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly > Select the assembly you wish to remove > Remove
      • This is preferable to manually deleting any files from the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom folder, as it will also remove any relevant references
    • To remove NinjaScript individually you can go to New > NinjaScript Editor > Double click on the 'Indicators' (or the relevant) folder > Right click on the add-on you wish to remove and select 'Remove'. Repeat these steps for all add-ons you wish to remove
You should be able to remove files via one of these two methods rather than deleting them directly from the NinjaTrader 8 documents folder.

Please let us know if we may assist you further.

      I think I have a problem ... selecting Tools > Remove NinjaScript appear to freeze NT8 (v8.1.2.1)?

I am not experiencing this behavior on version 8.1.2.1. If you have many custom assemblies imported into the platform, it could take a moment to load and I suggest leaving it be and waiting for it to load. Otherwise, you could certainly email our technical support team by going to Control Center > Tools > Help > Email Support and explain the behavior you are experiencing for additional assistance with this item.

Thank you for your time and patience.
