Global Simulation Mode / property in Code

is it possible to turn the global simulation mode on / off via code?

i found this but it does nothing:


Globals.TradingOptions.StartInGlobalSimulationMode ​

Turning on or off global simulation mode via code would be a safety issue. While I can appreciate that some might want to be able to do this, it sort of defeats the purpose of it, which is that the trader knows with certainty that no live trades will be placed while in global simulation mode, even if they do not have the source code to nor understand how each indicator or add-on they have installed works.
