I just wanted clarification on bars ago. If I using a 3 minute chart and select 10 bars ago does the program consider everything in the last 30 minutes or just 10 bars ago?

Where are you selecting 10 bars ago from? I may need additional context to fully understand and answer your question. For example, if you are doing something with the Close price and you use 10 for the barsAgo index, this would give you only the Close price for the bar 10 bars ago: Close[10]
This would not consider every close price for all of the last 10 bars.

Bars ago is typically used as an index to select how many bars ago in a series for the data point you would like to return. We have a tip page on the help guide about making sure there are enough bars in the data series you are accessing, which covers the concept of checking that the bars ago you are referring to exists before you try and get that data point:
